You never see the word — you hear it. A voice reads one word aloud; type it and press Enter to check. Press Space to hear it again as often as you like, 🐢 for a slower reading, or 💡 for a hint that fills in the correct start of the word. Repeats cost only a few points; a hint costs more. While you type, your letters all stay the same colour: nothing tells you whether they are right until you press Enter. Backspace works, so take your time. Classic has no clock, only three lives, and a misspelling costs one. Dictation gives you 90 seconds and no lives — spell as many words as you can.
