You start with four elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Type the name of one element from your collection, then another, and they mix in the cauldron — Fire + Water makes Steam! Every new element joins your collection, and you can mix it too. You can only type elements you already have: a letter that doesn’t fit any of them is not accepted and lowers your accuracy. A finished name is picked automatically; if a longer name starts the same way, press Enter or Space. Backspace takes back a letter or the first element. Most pairs make nothing — that costs nothing, just try another. “Makeable” shows how many new elements you could make right now, and a greyed-out element has nothing left to give. Stuck? 💡 Hint (or the ? key) shows one ingredient, and a second press shows both; hints cost a few points. Laboratory keeps your collection between visits — press Finish whenever you like. Quest starts again from the four elements and gives you five targets to make.
